Mr. Brower serves as an assistant project manager for Brailsford & Dunlavey in the Oakland Unified School District Division of Facilities Planning and Management in Oakland, CA. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor of science in civil engineering in 2010 with a concentration in construction management. He assists multiple project managers in OUSD’s Measure B ($435M) and Measure J ($475M) Capital Improvement Programs in addition to developing and maintaining reports covering projects program-wide. He also served as a key component in the troubleshooting, implementation and training of users for COMPASS and EADOC, two different cloud-based program and project management programs utilized by OUSD.
Prior to joining the B&D team, Mr. Brower was a project engineer for SGI Construction Management at OUSD for 4 and a half years after spending a year as a field testing technician for ACA Engineering, an environmental and geotechnical construction inspection and testing services firm based in western Pennsylvania. Through this background, he has experience with institutional, commercial and residential projects. He brings to the table a passion for precision and teamwork, along with a heavy emphasis on attention to detail coupled with strong communication skills. He is a firm believer of B&D’s core value that “it’s not my job” is always the wrong answer.
