Mr. Gabel brings a comprehensive understanding of the built environment: How a project is planned, and how it gets implemented. His development advisory work in the higher education and nonprofit sectors provides accurate, market-specific recommendations for Brailsford & Dunlavey’s clients across the country.
Mr. Gabel’s background includes 10-years of experience in all aspects of student housing development including market analysis, programming, and financial analysis. In addition to student housing, he has experience in all aspects of campus life facilities including student unions, retail, dining, and faculty and staff housing. Prior to joining B&D, he was a senior associate at the Urban Land Institute, an international research and education institution focused on planning and real estate development. In this role, he directed 17 Advisory Service Panels throughout the United States on various topics including downtown municipal revitalization, smart growth, transit-oriented development, waterfront development, in-fill development, and parking.
