A senior project manager in B&D's Washington, DC office, Ms. Kaplowitz possesses a background in developing affordable and market-rate housing throughout Texas, Louisiana, and the Mid-Atlantic. Prior to rejoining B&D in 2016 after a multi-year stint the previous decade, she worked for several leading affordable multifamily developers planning and managing affordable multifamily communities. Prior to that, she was a real estate officer for the District of Columbia. Her work has focused on developing and managing multi-family rental housing developments and conducting the necessary market analysis and economic viability studies to assure their success.
Ms. Kaplowitz brings to B&D a diverse background in municipal planning, community development, and real estate development. She earned a Bachelor’s degree from Indiana University before obtaining a Master’s degree in Public Affairs from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition, she has worked for various urban planning and community development organizations. As a B&D project analyst in the mid-2000's, she oversaw the budget, schedule, and program for the planning and development of educational facilities for universities and PK-12 schools.
