On Friday, June 6, representatives from Brailsford & Dunalvey presented the Board of Trustees of Austin Peay State University with a plan for new student housing that is focused on student success.
In an article from The All State, the plan features a new five-story, 400-bed apartment building to be opened in the fall of 2028. The university projects growth of 1.5% over the next seven years and is expecting about 1,800 new students by 2032. With the projected growth, students who are not from the county may not be able to live on campus.
“…We have a very large waitlist. The waitlist number on the slide has already increased by 100 students. We have compelling data that demonstrates the need,” said APSU President Michael Licari in the meeting.
